Rwanda women sitting volleyball started their campaign with easy 3-0 (25-5 , 25-5, 25-7) sets win over DR Congo in match no 2 to go top of the table after Day 1 of Para Africa Sitting Volleyball championship which is being held at Amahoro Stadium.

Jean Marie Nsegiyumva’s ladies started the first set with strength in services and made four aces. DR Congo proved the weakness in reception and Rwanda profited to score 8-1 in first technical time out.
With the experience of Rwanda team captain Mukobwankabo Lilian, they increased the difference making 14-2, 16-3 and then 25-5 to end the first set.

The number one ranked in Africa side continued their high performance in second set, with their strong services to make 8-0 in first technical time out, 12-1 as well 16-3 in second technical time out. The Congolese players lost the set on 25-5.

Rwanda earned the three points by winning the third set on 25-7.

Rwanda will play Egypt in their second game this Thursday at 14h00 at Petit Stade Amahoro of Remera.
